I've done several tests with this device, finding really effective and powerful. For those who do not have the complete drivers leave them full of CD drivers

Unfortunately the software that comes REALTEK USB Wireless LAN Utility is not very useful,

given that sometimes conflict with other utility programs for wifi connections, and even with the same Windows, because it disables the Wireless Zero Configuration , which makes Windows XP it does not identify nearby networks, often also networks with hidden ESSID name, does not allow immediate identification typing the ESSID manually. A better wireless network manager, in my opinion is the Advanced.WiFi-Manager in Windows XP, because given the preferred networks that registers itself in the Properties Windows XP Wireless Network Connections in the tab
wireless networks

, and as the network analyzer Netslumber . On some computers Realtek Wireless LAN Utility creates problems when wanting to connect to IP address automatically, if you have some connection issues like, I recommend disabling the Realtek Wireless LAN Utility of the files that are loaded when you start windows in msconfig, is the RtWlan.exe, and the Advanced.WiFi-Manager the File menu click start Windows WiFi Service ,

and click a few times in Scan, will know how many nets are available in the vicinity, you can also create your profile or profile.

In Windows Vista, there is not much problem because they do not interfere with the wireless network detector's own Vista.

in wifislax, the device is recognized as wlan0 , without installing any driver, if one wants to use the kismet have to choose in the prism54 driver .
